Please read the conditions set out below prior to booking your trip with Amazigh Cultural Tours (ACT) or ZigZag Tours.

Amazigh Cultural Tours is a registered Australian Business Tour Operator; ABN 26284232312

On confirmation of your booking we will provide a Detailed Itinerary.


By booking a trip with ACT/ZigZag Tours you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions. 


You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of AUD$1,000 for group tours or 20% of the cost of Tailor-made or individual tour options to secure your booking. An Booking Confirmation Invoice will be provided. If your booking is made within 60 days of the departure date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.


Acceptance of your booking will be confirmed by us in writing/email with details regarding final payments. Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 60 days before the departure date. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.


Group Tours require you to contribute to a compulsory Tips Kitty for on-ground payment put into a central fund and overseen by the tour leader to pay for porters, hotel staff, casual guides and to tip the principle tour guide and driver on behalf of the group.


To confirm your booking you must provide all requested details on the booking form provided at the time of your final payment or 60 days before the departure date. This includes full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry date, emergency contact, special dietary requirements, any pre-existing medical conditions, details of your Travel Insurance including policy number and contact details. Your booking cannot be confirmed without provision of these details.


Cancellations 60 days or more prior to departure will forfeit the deposit; Between 30 and 59 days prior to departure, we will retain 50% of the total booking cost; and Less than 30 days prior to departure we will retain 100% of fees paid by you for the booking. If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. The non-refundable deposit may be transferred to another tour by agreement with ACTM and within a maximum period of 2 years. A Booking Amendment Fee of $200 will be charged.


We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if external events make it not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary or if a group tour is undersubscribed. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure) due to terrorism, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, political instability or other external events and it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary, refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs and administration fee of $400.  We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights. 


If you wish to transfer from one trip to another or transfer your booking to a third party you must notify us at least 60 days prior to the proposed departure date.  A fee of $200 per change will apply (in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or transport). Transfers to a third party can only be made to another departure within a current validity period of 2 years.

Your trip does not include: flights, airport transfers unless specified, meals other than those specified in the Detailed Itinerary, Visa and passport fees, travel insurance, optional activities and sightseeing and all personal expenses, Tips kitty.


Our trip prices are based on the Moroccan Dirham and EURO and may be subject to currency exchange rates and additional Bank Fees for Credit Card payments. We reserve the right to impose surcharges up to 60 days before departure due to unfavourable changes in live exchange rates, increases in local operator costs, taxes, or if government action should require us to do so. 


All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for the child’s day to day care.


There is no upper age limit though we remind you that there are stairs and sometimes uneven ground to negotiate. Please contact ACT to discuss any mobility issues you may have. 


You must carry a passport valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip.


Travel insurance is compulsory for all ACT/ZigZag Tours and should be taken out at the time of booking. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency evacuation. You must provide proof of your travel insurance 60 days before departure or on final payment to secure your booking. You will not be able to join the trip without it.


The itinerary provided may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events. 


Our group trips are run by an experienced and reliable ACT/ZigZag Tours Host or Principle Guide. Any decision of the Host or Principle Guide is final, on all matters affecting the tour. Clients who fail to comply with any reasonable decision made by a Host or Principle Guide, or who interfere with the well-being of the group may be asked to leave the tour with no right of refund. Clients must at all times comply with the local laws and respect customs.


In Morocco we engage local companies, agencies and individuals to assist in the running of our tours and are not responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties. You release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation in our tours.


If you have a complaint about your trip please inform your tour Host or Principle Guide at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. Any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of the end of the tour.


You consent to ACT/ZigZag Tours using images of you taken during the trip for promotional purposes.


Any personal information that we collect about you will only be used by ACT/ZigZag Tours for purposes associated with the operation of a tour or to send you marketing material in relation to ACT/ZigZag Tours.
