Margaret England is set to be our very first Guest Artist and will lead a tour 21 October – 3 November 2013. Margaret works in assemblage, collage, installation and is a master at ‘gleaning’. This will be a popular tour and artists traveling with Margaret will respond to their experience in a number of ways – collage, drawing, ephemeral installations as well as an ‘artists book’ that will be the main focus of the project.   Frequently asked question about Amazigh Cultural Tours Morocco. It’s not a typo, but if you mis-read it as ‘amazing’ that’s okay, because Morocco is an amazing place! Rita Lazauskas – 2012 Dobell Drawing Prize Finalist

DRAWING TOUR host artist Rita Lazauskas is a finalist in the prestigious 2012 Dobell Drawing Prize on show at the Art Gallery of NSW until 10 February 2013. Her work titled ‘View from the Ramparts #5’ is inspired by her travels with Morocco tours. The panoramic concertina format of the 3D drawing makes reference to the traditional architecture of Morocco, where the terraces and fortifications provide views onto complex scenes of life below.
