Join ACTM and artist Rita Lazauskas at the the inaugural 1:54 Marrakech AFRICAN ART FAIR at the famous La Mamounia Palace-Hotel in Marrakech.

1:54 Marrakech brings together 17 leading international galleries to represent over 60 emerging and established artists from Africa and its diaspora.

ACTM has been invited to the VIP programs and events across the city including private museum visits, cocktails and dinners, artist studio visits and a weekend partnership with Marrakchi galleries.

Experience the highlights of Marrakech where Amazigh (Berber) traditions meld with new innovations in a dynamic contemporary arts scene.

Opening cocktails at a selection of Marrakech galleries and at Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech, in collaboration with 1-54. Guests are invited to walk through the neighbourhood of Guéliz to discover the exhibitions.

Sat 24th:

Private visit of the archaeological site Aghmat, with site specific installations by artists Oli Bonzanigo, M’Barek Bouhchichi, Michele Ciacciofera, Eric van Hove and Sara Ouhaddou presented by VOICE gallery, followed by a studio visit and lunch at Residence Al Maqaam, in the presence of artists Mahi Binebine and Mohamed Mourabiti and other artists in residence.
18:00 – late
Opening of Africa is No Island, curated by Afrique in Visu, at Musée d’Art Contemporain Africain Al Madeen (MACAAL) in the presence of the curators, followed by a cocktail and accompanied by live music.

Sunday 25th:
12:30 – 17:00
Brunch at Fondation Montresso* Jardin Rouge to celebrate the opening of Indiscipline #1, in the presence of Beninese artist Dominique Zinkpé and the artists in residency
